Nearly sixteen months later, with money in the bank and all the details in place, I gave notice! I'll always remember walking out the doors for the last time to start my new chapter. In fact, I still celebrate my "freedom day" each year!

My business has morphed and evolved several times over the years as my needs, interests, and strengths developed. My last "career change" happened in March 2007 when I made the decision to combine my passion for the environment with my love of helping people find careers that match their passions and values. Once again, I straddled two worlds for a while - my business training career coaches and counselors continued as I developed my knowledge and understanding of the green economy. Then on November 7, 2007, we launched Green Career Central, the site you are on right now.

Needless to say, I understand career change from a very personal point of view as well as from a professional point of view. Why Can't I Do This on My Own?

It's true, there are countless free resources available on the Internet or at the library, all offering advice on advancing your career. In fact, there is plenty of good free information available. I know that years ago, my first instinct would have been to hop on Google and search, search away for the information that I need.

Unfortunately, it's not as easy as you might think at first glance.
